BIS-460: Business Systems Analysis and Design
God’s masterplan for us was thwarted through the wickedness of mankind. His original plan was for us to be made in His image and follow in His footsteps, “For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight” (New International Version, 1973/2011, Ephesians 1:4). Like in many projects, an obstacle was presented that lead us to the original Goal. Original sin appeared in paradise and lead us astray, separating us from God. Sin and wickedness became abundant among all the Earth.
The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them (New International Version, 1973/2011, Genesis 6:5–7).
As the ultimate project manager, God is in control and always monitoring His plan: “The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all” and adapts His plan to His will (New International Version, 1973/2011, Psalms 103:19). We read in Genesis 6 that God found favor in Noah. He commanded Noah to build an ark and gather creatures following explicit instructions.
The Lord then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, and also seven pairs of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth.” (New International Version, 1973/2011, Genesis 7:1–3)
Fortunately for our sake, His mercy and fairness saved the earth and its inhabitants from destruction and restoring His plan.
