Galleries and Artists Discussion Essay Paper
I’m working on a art discussion question and need support to help me learn.
Art fairs have become a staple in the arts over the last 15 years. It’s a temporary 3 or 4 day event held at a major international city that hosts chosen galleries from around the world to present their program. Galleries apply to be part of the fair and if they are accepted, they rent space within the venue to showcase the artists that they represent. Museum and independent curators, collectors, artists, designers, and art enthusiasts attend to survey what’s happening in contemporary art. These fairs happen annually and examples of known fairs include Frieze, Armory, Felix, Art Basel, Nada, Arco, and many many more.
I’ll be going to the Frieze Art Fair in LA next weekend. Feb 17-20th. There are still student tickets available at $35 for a day pass if you’d like to make a trip to see what it’s like.
