Global Leadership Competencies and Coaching Across Borders
The competencies and skill set needed as a global leader is certainly different than the competencies needed for one local area. Both management and human resources, work together to identify the competencies needed as a global leader to be successful in global expansions. To repeat this week’s discussion:
Your organization is considering sending some management employees to The Arab Emirates in Dubai. Identify what job and professional competencies are needed to fill the role of a global leader in a foreign country such as Dubai.
Propose which training and development tools are essential to coach and develop management employees who live hundreds, or even thousands of miles from headquarters.
Predict the type of challenges they will face upon first arriving in Dubai.
Evaluate the following factors when responding to the above statements: culture, religion, demographics, language, politics, and economic stability.
Assemble practical examples and facts to support your answers to all components of this discussion topic.
Please answer the below and submit in a word document. Be careful, make sure to avoid plagiarism and to use quotation marks and proper citation as required. Length should be 500 words and double-spaced. Use APA format for citations and the required References page. Remember that the significant portion of your analysis should be in your own words.
Post I (Binomial Probability)
- Choose a value for p between 0.20 and 0.80. It should have at least two decimal places. When you create the thread on Blackboard, put your p = your value in the title. I must be different from the other student’s p.
- Find the following binomial probabilities. Show all your work. Round to 4 decimal places.
- Find the probability that exactly 6 of 25 are successes.
- Find the probability that at least 10 of 25 are successes.
- Find the probability that at most 5 of 25 are successes.
- Find the probability that there are between 3 and 7 successes, inclusive.
Post 2 (Normal Probability)
- Choose a classmate’s Post 1 that has not been done already and check their work. Check carefully because if you miss a mistake you will lose points.
- Use the information that you need from Post 1. Then, if possible, find the normal approximation for each of the probabilities as we learned in section 5.5 in the textbook.
Post 3
- Choose a classmate’s Post 2 that has not been done already. Check the work in Post 1 and Post 2. Check carefully because if you miss a mistake you will lose points.
- Compare the probabilities in Post 1 with the probabilities in Post 2. Write at least 3 sentences explain the differences and similarities in the binomial distribution and the normal distribution.
