I’m working on a communications question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

Get in-depth with two of your classmates’ essays–really get in there and tell them what you see. Tell them what you’d want to hear about your own work, that is, what works, what doesn’t, and why. Be thorough, be honest, and be kind in your delivery of constructive criticism.

What to Do:

So–what do you see in your classmate’s essay? Is the thesis good? How about the title? Does the writer seem to care about her writing; that is, is she invested, or is it just a jump through a hoop? Do you have any suggestions or ideas about anything at all (sources, writing, connections, etc.)? How are the sources–credible? Was it boring? Would you be interested enough to keep reading the next four pages–why/not?
