This week we’re discussing five factors that led to further westward expansion. Also out of the five factors, we must give what we believe is significant in getting Americans to migrate west. The five factors that led to the westward expansion was the population growth, the availability of cheap fertile land, the cheaper and faster transportation, the trails, believing what’s best for the country. The two factors that help the Americans move west were the availability of the cheap fertile land because they would be able to grow crops and make a profit also be able to be in the cattle industry. The second would be cheaper and faster transportation because they are able to travel long distances faster by railroad, also be able to import-export supplies by the railroad.
